I have a Seagate 80GB partitioned by default into C: & D: drive 22.2GB & 44.4GB there is also a hidden back up partition presumably which is used to restore my operating system, Drivers and bundled software using "Packard Smart Restore". I know when transferring files via drag and drop onto a new hard drive defaults the folder template and layouts but I hope with this software I can back up my entire system and restore with-in a minimal time-frameĪs of now. I'm not familiar with backing up and restoring this will be my first attempt and one my main concerns is the folder layouts not being restored too. What's the best solution in backing up and restoring these settings so I no longer have to restore re-configure all my files and folder layouts. I'm unsure if a 3rd party app/software etc is monotoning the size of my registry and trying to decrease it by clearing out my bags :? I usually modify this value to 20,000 the most I've hit before folders defaulted was 4,000 I have since increased this value to 50,000.
